For the pudding of Rama's name, Krishna's name is sugar
Bring the wheat of piety, grind in the stone of detachment
In the pot of heart, put the water of feeling
When you burp with satisfaction and feel the Bliss, |
A free translation:Recipe for the 'Rama Nama' paayasam (Pudding): Grind the wheat of Piety in the stone of Detachment;get the cream of wheat and spin noodles from it with pride. Fill the pot of your Heart with Bhakti, the waters of Love for the Lord, Add the noodles and cook over the fire of Wisdom. Add the sweetness of Sugar called Krishna and the nourishing Ghee called Vithala. And lo! you have the delicious Payasam of Rama Nama. Serve in a large plate and taste this special Pudding; See how you smack your lips with great fulfillment. When the burp of bliss comes, meditate on our blissful Lord, Purandara Vithala. |
