tasm˜nn˜rh˜ vayaÕ hantuÕ 
dh˜rtar˜ÿ÷r˜nsvab˜ndhav˜n |
svajanaÕ hi kathaÕ hatv˜ 
sukhina× sy˜ma m˜dhava ( 1|37)||

Therefore, we should not kill
the sons of Dhritarashtra, our relatives;
for, how can we be happy
by killing our own people, O Madhava?
