þreebhagav˜nuv˜ca | 
k˜ma eÿa krodha eÿa 
rajoguõasamudbhava× | 
mah˜þano mah˜p˜pm˜ 
viddhyenamiha vairiõam ( 3|37)||

It is desire, it is anger born of the "activity" - all devouring, all sinful; know this as the foe here (in this world).
