ye ih s<SpzRja -aega Ê>oyaeny @v te, 
Aa*NtvNt> kaENtey n te;u rmte bux>.

ye hi saĠsparŝaj˜ bhog˜ 
du×khayonaya eva te | 
˜dyantavanta× kaunteya 
na te˙u ramate budha× ( 5|22)||

The enjoyments that are born of contacts (with sense-objects) are only generators of pain, for they have a beginning and an end.
O Son of Kunti, the wise do not rejoice in them.
